Alstom - Environmental Strategy Deployment
Background:
The Thermal Services Business has defined in its 3 year plan a strategic action of Minimization of the Environmental Impact. In order to achieve them, 3 main actions have been set:
1. Review Environmental Data (Teranga)
2. Create and communicate Reporting Protocol
3. Implement Reduction Plans
Tasks: the Power sector has developed an Environmental strategy to comply with its 3-year plan targets. The projects objective will be to adapt this strategy to the unique characteristics of the Thermal Services Business in a lean, fast and cost-effective way.
Through interaction across Product Lines, Areas and Functions the project aims at identifying the key stakeholders of the Environmental initiatives and develop, agree, communicate and implement pilots in each of these to assess the potential for reduction of water and energy consumption and waste generation.
The main tasks will consist of:

1 Environmental baseline project – deployment plan monitoring Monitor in a consolidation dashboard the outcomes of the Environmental Baseline Visit plan:

a. Creation of filled in Questionnaires
b. Creation of the site final report
c. Update of the global consolidation dashboard

2 Environmental baseline project – project implementation guidelines
Deliverable
Following the Lighting, Water and Waste guidelines, continue developing at least the following:
a. Lighting project simulation in DIAlux
b. Compressed Air management – compressors
c. Compressed Air management – air network
d. HVAC – general heating and ventilation
e. HVAC – heating with radiants (gas)
f. HVAC – heating with steam
g. HVAC – assessment of cooling needs
