ME3 / EMA GA Minutes of Meeting
I am taking the liberty of posting Luca's email for those who are interested in the topics touched. Sorry to all those that might receive this as a duplicated email.
Hello everyone,
Last weekend I have been to Budapest to the Erasmus Mundus Students and Alumni Association (EMA) General Assembly and here are some ideas worth sharing:
| IMPORTANT |
| There is a network being created among all the Erasmus Mundus (EM) masters with respect to Environment. The main purpose is to create a job connection between students, alumni and professionals in our fields. Updates will follow. |
| Another network for only the ME3 master, the SELECT master (for those who were in Stockholm, Oisin was their representative) and the EMIN (Master in Economics and Management of Network Industries) will be created, with focus on Renewable Energy and Environment. Basically, they study the same subjects we studied, and their job focus is exactly like ours. The idea is to share a more internal job platform and share knowledge on different projects (like new Master Thesis, internships and so forth). Updates will follow. |
| There is an interesting PhD program, which lasts 4 years and one of these is dedicated to a fully recognized MBA. A mix of education and entrepreneurship. Paris, London, Zurich, Barcelona, Stockholm, Florence and USA.
Each has different research lines. Applications are closed for this year, but they also have a summer school. Check it out: eit.europa.eu (European Institute of Innovation and Technology - EIT) |
| LESS IMPORTANT (but still interesting) |
| The elections for the new president and vice-president have taken place. The new president is Jean Carlos Pelicano and the VP is Hady Abi-Nader |
| There are a lot possibilities for getting our projects and ideas funded by EMA. Also for start-ups (up to 2000 euro grant). You need to register (please update also your info on the website): www.em-a.eu and then look for EMA Networking Event Funding Scheme |
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

EMAnate - Erasmus Mundus news out
Dear all,
Some of you might be receiving this by post, but I am sharing a link to the Erasmus Mundus magazine 'EMAnate' in PDF version, which I thought you might find interesting. Among others, it discusses mobility in the EU and the 'Blue card' scheme, which is quite interesting for all those non-European seeking to stay in Europe after the master .
To download the PDF, go here.
You can also become a member or the EMA community to keep updated with the latest Erasmus Mundus news and get involved in the EM community. You will also receive information on your local (country of origin) chapter and activities to promote the ME3 master and/or networking.
